πŸš€ v1.4.4 β€” Analytics Reimagined

Your analytics just got a complete makeover. Every chart in the app has been rebuilt from the ground up β€” cleaner layout, multiple view modes, instant click-to-drilldown on every visualization, and way more of the data you actually care about, right where you can see it.

πŸ“Š Analytics Redesigned

  • Every chart, reimagined β€” all 14 analytics views now live in a new card layout with the headline number front and center, a sidebar with the breakdown, and a scrollable detail list of the underlying items
  • Multiple view modes β€” most charts now let you flip between visual styles (donut, bars, treemap, rose, line, stacked, heatmap, composition, trajectory…) so you can see your numbers the way that clicks for you. Your choice is remembered in the URL, so saved presets restore the exact view
  • Click anything to drill in β€” tap any slice, bar, cell, or row and see the exact transactions behind it. No more guessing what's in that "$2,540 in Groceries"
  • Instant updates β€” edit a transaction and your analytics update immediately. No spinner, no reload, no round-trip to the server
  • Net Worth, three ways β€” flip between a stacked assets vs debt composition, a smooth trajectory line, or a month-over-month change bar chart
  • Cash Flow narrative β€” every view now shows the sentence that actually matters: "On average, you're saving $X/month" (or "spending more than you earn" if things are tight)
  • Year over Year heatmap β€” compare every month across every year in a single color-coded grid. Spot the December spikes and the February lows at a glance. Flip the heatmap between Spending, Income, or Net with one click
  • Monthly Report, now interactive β€” jump between months by clicking any bar in the 6-month context strip, see the top 5 largest transactions of the month, a cleaner net worth movement card, and a Today button to snap back to the current month
  • Forecast up to 5 years β€” the Net Worth forecast slider now stretches from 3 months all the way to 60 months for longer-range planning
  • "Other" bucket β€” donut charts with lots of categories now tidy the long tail into an "Other (N)" slice so the chart stays readable

🏠 Overview Page Polish

  • Cash Flow card replaces the old spending-only trends chart β€” see income and spending side by side each month with the "saving/spending $X/month on average" headline
  • Spending Breakdown now bundles smaller categories into a tidy "Other" slice when you have more than 9 active ones
  • Runway widget now shows the actual monthly expense chart when added from the dashboard picker (it was accidentally rendering as a plain stat card)

πŸ—“οΈ New Date Presets

  • Last 12 Months β€” rolling 12-month window from today
  • Last Year β€” January 1st through December 31st of the previous calendar year
  • Both work with saved filter presets

πŸ› οΈ Fixes & Improvements

  • Categories β€” deleting a category with recurring transactions attached now properly moves those rules to the replacement category. Previously they could silently break and show up as Uncategorized next month
  • Categories β€” renaming a category now updates instantly across all your transactions. No more hard refresh needed
  • Bank connections β€” fixed a confusing "Invalid credentials" error when connecting Enable Banking accounts. You'll now see a clear "Your Enable Banking app needs activation" message with a link to the right step in the setup guide
  • Duplicate names β€” trying to create a preset, category, or category group with a name that already exists now shows a friendly "already exists" message instead of a raw database error
